ER31DC Week 21 - Inspired by a Colour

I love turquoise. Its halfway between my two other favourite colours - green and blue - and is the lighter form my other favourite colour, teal.

I also have far too many turquoise polishes. Can you guess how many I used in this skittle?

Five. This is five different polishes, from five different brands.

From thumb to pinkie, we have China Glaze For Audrey, Invogue Tea Leaf, Sally Hansen Barely Blue Bell, Essie Turquoise & Caicos and Rimmel Misty Jade. The colour difference between the five is absolutely minute! All fingers have three coats of polish here as most of them (except the china glaze) started out quite streaky and are topped with Seche Vite.

And what better way to top a skittle than.... boatloads of glitter! I'm feeling very sparkly today.

This delightful rainbow sparkle number is LA Colors Star Light, a silver/holo glitter that is absolutely awesome.

Bling Bling. :D

  1. Upon close inspection your pinky looks more blue leaning and your thumb and pointer more green but the other two look identical :)

    1. When I looked at these the following morning, the Invogue and the Rimmel were noticeably more green than the other three. Perhaps they get greener as they dry? The other three were pretty much the same colour as each other in the end though.

  2. Did you use Seche Vite? It really affects turquoise, making it greener x
