I'm really fond of odd colour combinations. Orange and blue, purple and green (Hulk smash), and pink and aqua.
Alas, my aqua turned out a little more green that I wanted.

Here be Dragons...
Having this weekend off polish making has actually given me time to paint my nails, and thus there will actually be some posts in the next week or so!
These nails were actually what I wore to work last week - quickly thrown together on sunday night before bed, with the colours being picked by Mr Painted Claws.
Base is Nails Inc New York Noir - since I got this as a freebie in Glamour magazine a month or two ago this has been my absolute best black polish. Its actually a little devastating that I've only got two bottles as its so much better than the other black polishes I've used. The only one I've found that comes close is Sinful Colors Black on Black.
The edge highlights are A England Dragon on my pointer, middle and pinky and Models Own Bronze Rage on my ring finger.
I love tape mani's, they're so easy to do!
What does everyone think? Like the colour combo?

Birthday Polish Haul
I turned 27 last wednesday, and I got some amazing polish-based presents from Mr Painted Claws and from my bestie and Chief Enabler Rachael (of Racho's Nail Love).
Just to warn everyone in advance, this is gonna be a fairly pic heavy post - and these are just the bottle shots! I haven't even gotten time to think about swatching the lot!

Swatched - A England Galahad
Just a short swatch post whilst I'm setting off on my jollies - hopefully nothing will explode whilst I'm gone!
I've been after this polish for months now, and when Mr Painted-Claws got overexcited and gave me one of my birthday presents early I nearly exploded when I opened this up.
Galahad is such a beautiful blue creme, bright and bold and absolutely gorgeous. I know I'm gushing, but I really think this may be one of my favourite polishes.
The pictures above show two coats, although the second coat was pretty much just out of habit - this is a super pigmented creme that goes on amazingly and dries quite fast. These pictures do have a topcoat of Seche Vite, thus the amazing shine, but on its own its quite shiny as well.

ER31DC Week 11 - Polka Dots
The very first post on this blog was a polka dot mani, many moons ago (Ok, it was only in January, but it feels like ages.). I didn't even have dotting tools back then, I just did the dots freehand with a little paintbrush I pilfered from my Other Half's miniatures painting kit. I love the cute, vaguely retro look of a dotticure.
I decided to use my two newest additions to my stash - A England's St George and Morgan Le Fay, courtesy of Chloe on the Facebook group UK Only Polish & Beauty Swaps (I love this group but its totally tempting to bankrupt me!).
I'm so glad I have dotting tools now, doing this with a paintbrush is so hard, haha.
