The rules for the Tri-polish Challenge are thus...
- Each month Crumpet's Nail Tarts will set 3 colours for the challenge. You then choose 1 polish to represent each of those 3 colours. You must stick to those same 3 polishes throughout the entire challenge.
- Each Challenge Day, you must use at least 2 of these 3 polishes in your mani. You must also use all 3 polishes at least once.
This month's colour combination is gray, red and blue, and so the polishes for this month are - Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Ion for the gray, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Rapid Red and Nails Inc Albert Place for the blue.
My first look for the challenge this month reminds me of (and this is where I sound really arty and stuff) the painting by Piet Mondrian called Composition II in Red, Blue and Yellow.
Colour-blocking with scotch tape is fun, unless you're impatient like me and tape it when the polish you've just painted isn't completely dry - the gray on the middle finger almost peeled completely off when I un-taped the finger after painting the blue haha. I am so impatient.
I just saw this in the linky and thought "hey, cool, Mondrian!" so yeah, totally agree with you. It's a very cool look!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have to do a proper Mondrian red yellow and blue mani at some point. Its such a striking look :)
DeleteI love this mani fab choice of colours and I will have to have a go at this sometime soon #:D
ReplyDeleteThe tri-polish is a great way to exercise your creativity with the colours you're given each month, I totally recommend it!
