Pokemon Challenge Gen II, Round 17 - Steel Type

I'm nearly at the end of the Gen II pokemon journey, which makes me both sad and excited. Sad, because I'm almost done, and excited because I totally can't wait to do Gen III in the new year! Stay tuned for more details in the next month on that one, but first - the last type group of the challenge, Steel.

Steel was one of the new types introduced in Gen II, along with Dark, and its another of the types that I don't really use often. Some existing Gen I pokemon were retyped as dual-type to include steel, so I've gone for one of these this week...

ER31DC Week 30 - Inspired by a Tutorial

I was originally going to do gradients for this, until I realised that that was a bit of a cop out because I love them and they're dead easy. Also I had no inspiration other than "do a gradient". So I went surfing through the great and mighty google to see what I could find in the way of tutorials there.

I found this super easy tutorial on Nail Art Express for corset nails, and I immediately knew what I was doing.

These were done with a base of Rimmel's Princess Pink for a nice nude background, with the corsets themselves done in OPIs Meet Me On The Star Ferry. Meet Me on the Star Ferry was part of my birthday present from Mr Painted Claws and is an absolutely amazing polish - a metallic, muted pink that looks super classy and nice.

ER31DC Week 21 - Inspired by a Colour

I love turquoise. Its halfway between my two other favourite colours - green and blue - and is the lighter form my other favourite colour, teal.

I also have far too many turquoise polishes. Can you guess how many I used in this skittle?

Sort of Skittles

One of my favourite colour combinations is gray and assorted brights - usually bright yellow or bright blue. Think Swedish flag and school-uniform gray and you're right there. I'm also becoming terribly fond of orange as a colour, which is something I've avoided like the plague up until now. I'm also fond of a mixture of gloss and matte finishes - this is something I've always had a weakness for. Show me a video game box that is both matte and shiny and I'll go mental for it.
